Favourite thing about your job I love that we are making a difference to the way our Polynesian people are seen and appreciated. I love that we get to showcase the amazing talents of the brightest and best New Zealanders. I love that our show is breaking new ground and that my job is part of the equation making that happen.
Favourite food Toffee Apples
Greatest fear Settling for less, Something bad happening to my family
Most proud of My mum and all the other solo young mums out there for being brave enough to raise our next generation of leaders, My grandfather for being brave to leave the islands with nothing and start a new life here in new Zealand; and my producers for being brave enough to create and fight for a show that breaks ground in the way that we as Pacific Island people are represented here in New Zealand.
Happiest When Shopping or hanging with my friends and family (notice the word 'or' these two happy things are never done together!!! ). Shopping is my sport. I become savage.
Most embarrassing moment One thing people might not know about shooting our episodes is that we have to wear the same clothes for the whole week of shooting. This means I have to wear the clothes from my fashion story through into what ever else I do! So... I have been running around a rugby field in heels, climbing over barrels of fish on a fishing ship in purple stiletto boots, slid off the Americas cup boat in black lacey shoes and been stuck in a taro patch in my favourite pair of $300.00 mules! I don't know if that's embarrassing or heartbreaking....
Most annoyed when Sam borrows money form me to buy his girlfriends' presents, Michael wears my shoes, Khalia uses my razor and when people are ignorant/racist/rude/ thoughtless/selfish and haters!
Favourite interview I have to say that I am overwhelmed by the people I have already interviewed - they range from the heads of our country, heads of fashion houses to the heads of church's and fishing ships! Everyone that I have interviewed surpasses any expectation I could have had. Overall I think my favourite interview has been with Miss Linda Lepou. She defined and revolutionised the word Fa'afafine for the whole of New Zealand and stunned all of our viewers with her poise, grace and determination.
Favourite movie Friday and Pretty Woman
Favourite music Black Magic Woman and Purple Rain, Samoan jamz
Shoutouts to all the single ladies, put your hands up..oh oh oh oh oh oh
